Jason Kelly's practice focuses on complex litigation. His practices areas include catastrophic personal injury cases, insurance coverage disputes, construction and contract disputes, real estate and general commercial litigation. He has experience in drafting contracts, licensing agreements and corporate formation. His litigation experience runs from Registrar of Contractors' hearings to arbitrations, civil trials and the Court of Appeals and includes all aspects of residential construction, including both single-family and multi-family dwellings, commercial, retail and industrial construction projects throughout the state of Arizona, real estate property rights disputes, insurance coverage disputes and bad faith lawsuits, contractual indemnity litigation, real estate agent liability, wrongful death and personal injury.
Jason also actively assists his clients in avoiding litigation by providing such services as reviewing and analyzing proposed insurance policies such as wrap or OCIP/ODIP policies now surfacing on construction projects, forming corporations and LLCs, drafting employment agreements and drafting royalty and licensing agreements.
Before joining Schneider & Onofry, he worked in the Pima County Prosecutor's Office as a Rule 38(e) clinician in which he performed over 20 bench and jury trials. He is a founding member and former Chairman of the Board of the non-profit Youth Suicide & Education Programs and is currently serving as a Board Member on the Arizona Suicide Prevention Coalition. He is active the martial arts community, providing legal advice to various organizations and teaching youth and adult classes, and he is a nationally-licensed youth soccer coach.
